Mosquito Control for Your Yard Without Synthetic Pesticides
Your backyard should be somewhere your family actually wants to spend time. Bite Back provides targeted, all-natural mosquito control for New Jersey yards, patios, pools, play areas and outdoor living spaces.
What makes a mosquito yard?
Usually it is not one thing. Mosquito pressure builds from a combination of shade, moisture, dense landscaping, standing water and mosquitoes continually moving in from surrounding properties.

Mosquito control starts with understanding your yard
Mosquitoes do not spend all day flying around the middle of your lawn. Many rest in cool, humid, protected areas until conditions are right for them to become active.
Shade & Vegetation
Thick shrubs, foundation plantings, ivy, bamboo, wooded borders and overgrown fence lines can create protected mosquito resting areas.
Small Amounts of Water
Buckets, toys, clogged gutters, plant saucers, tarps, pool covers, corrugated drain extensions and other water-holding areas can contribute to mosquito breeding.
Your Neighbors Matter Too
Your property is not sealed off. Mosquitoes can continually move in from nearby yards, woods, drainage areas and other surrounding habitat.
We target mosquito habitat — not every inch of your lawn
A thoughtful mosquito program is about putting treatment where mosquitoes are most likely to rest while paying attention to the outdoor spaces your family actually uses.

“I started Bite Back because I couldn't find a mosquito and tick service I felt good about using around my own family.”
Mosquito control works best as a season-long program
New mosquitoes hatch, weather changes and mosquitoes move between properties. That is why we focus on consistent treatment throughout New Jersey's mosquito season instead of treating the yard once and pretending the problem is permanently solved.
Target the right areas
We concentrate on shaded foliage, landscaping, edges and protected mosquito resting zones rather than unnecessarily blanket-spraying open lawn.
Stay consistent
Seasonal treatments are generally scheduled approximately every 21 days from spring through fall to help prevent mosquito pressure from rebuilding unchecked.
Improve the property
Treatment works best when standing water, clogged drainage and excessive vegetation are addressed at the same time.
Can a mosquito company make your yard mosquito-free?
No responsible mosquito company should pretend it can create an invisible wall around your property.
Mosquitoes fly. They hatch throughout the season. Rain, heat, humidity, drainage and neighboring properties can all change mosquito pressure. The goal of a professional program is to significantly reduce the pressure around the parts of your property your family uses most and keep working on it throughout the season.
If something does not feel right after service, tell us. Bite Back has a defined inspection and respray process instead of leaving customers wondering what to do next.
Mosquito control is about comfort — and reducing bites
Most mosquito bites are simply irritating, but mosquitoes can also transmit disease. West Nile virus remains an important mosquito-borne disease concern in the United States.
Reducing mosquito populations around the home, eliminating standing water and using personal bite-prevention measures can all work together as part of a broader mosquito-prevention strategy.
Five things homeowners can do right now
The best results happen when mosquito treatment and smart yard maintenance work together.
Check buckets, toys, planters, birdbaths, pool covers and anything else that collects rain.
Clogged gutters can hold water where it is easy to overlook.
Heavy ivy, bamboo and overgrown shrubs create shade and can reduce treatment penetration.
Corrugated drainpipe extensions can trap small pockets of water after rain.
Plant saucers, wheelbarrows, tarps and outdoor toys are commonly missed water sources.
Mosquito pressure may originate beyond your property line, especially where nearby yards contain dense vegetation or unmanaged water.

Questions New Jersey homeowners ask us
How often should my yard be treated for mosquitoes?
Bite Back's seasonal program is typically scheduled approximately every 21 days from April through October. Weather, property conditions and the time of year can affect mosquito pressure between visits.
What does Bite Back use for mosquito control?
Bite Back uses an all-natural, essential-oil based mosquito and tick treatment program. We do not use synthetic pesticides in our normal yard treatment program.
Do you spray the entire lawn?
No. Open lawn is generally not where adult mosquitoes spend most of their resting time. We focus on shaded vegetation, landscaping, borders and other protected mosquito habitat while avoiding unnecessary treatment of open lawn and flowering areas.
Can mosquitoes come from my neighbor's yard?
Yes. Mosquitoes do not recognize property lines. Nearby standing water, vegetation, neglected pools, woods, drainage areas and other habitat can continually contribute new mosquito pressure.
How quickly should I notice a difference?
Many customers notice improvement quickly, but the amount of pressure, weather and when you begin service all matter. Properties starting during heavy mosquito season may need multiple treatments before the program reaches its best level of control.
Do I need a contract?
No. Bite Back does not require a long-term contract. Customers can choose pay-as-you-go service or a seasonal prepay option.
How much does mosquito control cost?
Qualified New Jersey properties can be as low as $89 per treatment. Pricing depends on property size, service plan, route availability and property conditions.
Do you treat for ticks at the same time?
Yes. Bite Back's seasonal Shield program provides combined mosquito and tick protection. Properties with heavier tick pressure may be better suited for Shield Plus, which adds additional granular tick protection.
